I am trying to merge a customer with another because it is in QB's 2 different ways and I keep getting the error.

I've checked from our records and found an ongoing investigation about the error message you're getting. Our engineers are now investigating the error message you are experiencing when merging customers or vendors in QuickBooks Online. 

 

At this time, I encourage reaching out to our Support Team so you'll be added to the list of affected users in this investigation (INV-45874). Once added, you'll automatically receive an email notification with the latest updates.

  1. Tap on Contact us from the Help menu.
  2. Type in a short description of your concern under the What can we help you with? section.
  3. Click on Let's talk.

We're also experiencing the -30000 error when attempting to merge customers.  We already called support & could not get help. We were told, they were looking into it for us.

Our engineers are still working and investigating to identify the root cause of this issue for them to apply for a permanent resolution. For now, we don't have a specific time frame for when is this going to be mitigated. Rest assured, this is being taken care of.

We are also trying to merge customers and got this error.  Any updates on how to resolve this?

For now, the issue when merging customers (Error-3000) is still ongoing. Our engineers are doing their best to provide a permanent fix to this.

If you haven't contacted our QBO Support yet, I'd recommend reaching out to them. This way, they can add your account details to the list of affected users and notify you by email as soon as a fix is implemented.

  1. Click the Help icon.
  2. Hit Contact us.
  3. Enter "Error -30000" in the description, then click Let's talk.
  4. Choose Get a callback.

What does unexpected error -30000 mean?

It is close to a year later ...and apparently NO SOLUTION OR HELP. We get this error simply by trying to update client address. Help please.

Hi Robman,

 

Upon checking, the original ticket for this issue is already closed. We can do the basic browser troubleshooting steps and see if this gets rid of the error.

 

To start, you'll want to sign in to QuickBooks using a private browser. This step disables its extensions and stops the cache from saving your browsing history.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • MS Edge and Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If you don't see the error, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. If not, please try other browsers to see if we get the same thing. If nothing really works, please contact our Support again to revisit this case.
