I'm glad you came here for support, jryansteer.
Whenever a cache piled on your browser, it can cause issues such as the error you're getting when trying to classify trips in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
As an initial step, let's try using a private browser or incognito window when accessing your account. Your browser's cache might be causing that message. A typical browser uses a cache of memory to work efficiently and load pages faster, but as data collects it can cause unexpected results.
You can refer to the following keyboard shortcuts:
- Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
- Safari: press Command + Shift + N
If you're able to save the classified trips successfully using the private window, you can switch back to the regular browser then I recommend clearing your browser's cache. Otherwise, you can use other supported browsers. Cache differs from every browsers and computers.
If you get the same error, I recommend calling our Phone Support. They can initiate a screen sharing session to help you get to a resolution quickly.
Here's how you can reach them:
- From the Assistant tab, type or say Talk to a human.
- If you want to connect with us directly, type or say Talk to a human.
- Then select your preferred support method: Message an agent (Live chat), Call an agent, or Get a callback.

The details on how to get in touch with the support is outlined in this article: How to contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.
Be sure to get in touch with me if you have any other questions. I'm always here to help you sort things out.
