I’m here to help you print the purchase order in QuickBooks Desktop!

Let’s make sure the paper size setting is correct.

Here’s how:

  1. Open the purchase order and click the Formatting tab
  2. Select Customize Data Layout to open the Additional Customization window
  3. Click Print tab, select Use specified printer settings below for this Purchase Order and set the Paper Size field to 8 1/2 x 11 in
  4. Click OK to save the changes.

Once you’ve done that, try to print the purchase order again by clicking the Print icon on the top.

I’ve attached screenshots for your reference.

Don’t hesitate to get back to me if you’re experiencing something else when printing purchase order.

Instead of Use Specific settings, it is more likely you want to Use Printer Setup, for Standard paper. Specific settings for that template will override your Printer and your Printer driver.

In File menu > Printer Setup, select that transaction type and confirm the Printer driver is set to standard paper. You have an Options or Advanced button, typically, controlled by your computer system and your printer driver. QB "speaks" to your Printer Driver.
