Thank you, thank you, thank you.  It shouldn't be so hard to located!  I know QB likes to push the forum, but how do you know what to search, if you don't know what parts of the program you're not using?  I'm trying to figure out how to enter a simple job cost so that it shows on the Unbilled/Billed reports.  Our architect office charges for plans/plots and I want to enter a charge to the customer for them -- similar to mileage premise, but can't seem to find an easy way to do this. .... and the enter mileage system is great, but the cost doesn't show up on an unbilled job costs reports to review before billing (not just add to the invoice at invoice time).  The little things bog me down!

"I'm trying to figure out how to enter a simple job cost so that it shows on the Unbilled/Billed reports."

Everything will be Items. You set up and use Items for this and they will be two-sided, so that they link to expense and to income.

I have attached a lot of screenshot examples for your review.

"Our architect office charges for plans/plots and I want to enter a charge to the customer for them -- similar to mileage premise, but can't seem to find an easy way to do this. .... and the enter mileage system is great, but the cost doesn't show up on an unbilled job costs reports to review before billing (not just add to the invoice at invoice time)."

Yes, you set up a Vehicle and name it Misc Charges. You set the item and its rate, such as different plot sizes. You use the Mileage Log for this purpose. It shows in a Different Report = Mileage reports, at the bottom of the Jobs, Time & Mileage reports submenu. Don't look for Unbilled Costs; this is not a Cost for you; it is an Internal Charge function. Your Cost comes from operations, supplies, consumables, and buying new equipment.

In addition to the reference information qbteachmt provided, I would also check at your local library for information.  My library system has books, videos and e-books for various versions of QuickBooks and the reference librarians are very helpful in finding resources outside of the library.  They've even offered classes for members to go over basics.

I would also check YouTube.  They have a large number of QuickBooks topics and training videos that you can watch at no charge.

Where can I get a Quickbooks Pro 2016 users guide/manual

Hello. I have just started using Quickbooks 2016 Pro for our organization. Your posting of the manuals was very helpful. However I would also like to have a look at the videos. I checked the link you posted but it looks like they have been removed again. Would it be possible for someone to re-post the videos for Quickbooks 2016 Pro?

Thanks, Debra.
