Will Quickbooks for Mac desktop support Mac OS Sierra?

I prefer to use Quickbooks desktop version on my Macintosh computer -- will QB desktop EVER support and run on Mac OS Sierra?  I understand it is NOT currently able to run on the beta version of Sierra but what about the FINAL version of Mac OS Sierra?

2016 works fine with Sierra for me. I upgraded to 2016 first and then did the Sierra upgrade. 2015 patch isn't available yet, but it's coming.

I like to keep my data local too. My accountant agrees, so I'm a desktop user - not a cloud user. As to 2017, I don't know if or when it's expected, but there is a trial version of 2016 and then I think there is a 30 day guarantee so that might cover any changes for a while.

So new question, I asked my quickbooks if there was any updates and this is the response I got: "QuickBooks 16.0.6.1508 R7 is currently the newest version available."  Stupid question but does that mean that I am already upgraded to the 2016 version?

I think it was telling you that your current version (2015) is up to date.  You can check by going to the QUICKBOOKS tab in the menu bar and selecting the top item "About Quickbooks" it will tell you your version.  Mine says "About Quickbooks 2016" and then when I open it, it says V 17.1.5 R6.  When I click on that it says Build 332.

It is telling you that you have the most up to date version of 2015.

My wife is running quickbooks 2015 and upgraded last night to the official sierra macOS - does not work.  The exact error is "You can't use this version of the application "QuickBooks 2015" with this version of macOS".  Is there a way to get around this without reverting back to El Capitan and two will or will not there be a quickbooks 2017 on mac osx ?

I have a client who bought QB for Mac 2016 a few months ago and is only installing it now.  He has a screen save of his product when he bought it--says compatible with Mac OS Xv10.10 (Yosemite and macOS Sierra.  He has Sierra 10.10.5 and does not want to upgrade yet to 10.11 or more--because he is a photographer and wants to make sure all his programs are compatible with new OS upgrade first.  BUT he couldn't download Quickbooks 2016 because he gets an error message saying he can't use this version of Quickbooks 2016 with this version of OSX 10.10.5--that it requires 10.11 or later.  How can he get around this issue??

10.10.5 is Yosemite I believe.  He should be able to download the R5 version of QuickBooks from here:

I believe it was updated to ask which OS you are running on.
