Simple Start Price Increase - September 2019

Why is Intuit increasing prices?

Intuit is constantly evolving to keep pace with our customers as they grow.

QuickBooks helps small businesses find over $3,500 in annual tax savings1 and save over 40 hours per month2 on average. Price increases enable us to constantly reinvest in our ecosystem of products and accelerate innovations based on customer feedback. We have accelerated the development of QuickBooks Online by leveraging automation and other technologies to deliver time-saving features, including direct bank feeds3 to automatically and frequently update your transactions, enhancements to receipt capture4, and more.

We have also expanded our third-party ecosystem, now with more than 680 apps5 that expand the capabilities of QuickBooks Online and allow users to work seamlessly anytime, anywhere.6

What’s new in QuickBooks? Are new features being introduced?

We are constantly reinvesting in capacity, performance, and improving the connections within our ecosystem, in addition to innovating on new features.

Examples of new features to QuickBooks include:

  • Receipt Capture: Snap4, e-mail, or upload receipts to match them to expenses.
  • Direct Bank Feeds3: Establish bank connections that are more reliable to automatically keep your transactions updated.
  • Mileage Tracking: Coming soon, track mileage7 automatically in QuickBooks Mobile4

When does the new pricing go into effect?

New customers will see the new QuickBooks Online Simple Start prices reflected on our website on September 2, 2019. For existing customers, the new price will take effect on or after October 1, 2019 on their billing date.

How long until the next price increase?

Price increases are not tied to a calendar schedule. They reflect the added value QuickBooks Online brings to its customers over time through added features and product enhancements. As per your subscription agreement with QuickBooks/Intuit, prices are subject to change. All customers impacted by a price change are notified by email.

How can I check my billing details?

To check your billing details:

  1. Sign into QuickBooks Online
  2. Select the gear icon
  3. Select Account and Settings
  4. Select Billing & Subscription
