You’ve renamed the app. Can I still sign in? Yes. We’ve changed the name from Intuit Online Payroll for mobile to QuickBooks Payroll. The features you enjoy now are still there, and your sign-in information is the same.
As Intuit Online Payroll customer, will I still be able to use this app now that it’s called QuickBooks Payroll?Yes. The name has changed, but your access to the app has not. You can still sign in to your QuickBooks Full Service Payroll, QuickBooks Online Payroll, Intuit Online Payroll, or Intuit Full Service Payroll accounts with your existing user ID and password.
What can I do in the QuickBooks Payroll mobile app?You can run payroll, pay, and file taxes from the app, pay your employees, see up to a year's worth of past checks, and view employee details. In addition, if you’re an Intuit Online Payroll or Intuit Full Service Payroll customer, you can pay contractors and view their details. Whatever you enter here syncs up with your online payroll account on the web–and vice versa. We’re regularly improving and adding more features to the app.
Can I use the QuickBooks Payroll mobile app to view or modify account, payroll, and employee and contractor settings?No. To view and modify your account, payroll, and employee and contractor settings, you’ll need to sign in to your online payroll account from the web.
Can I use QuickBooks Payroll to pay and file payroll taxes? Yes. The QuickBooks Payroll mobile app lets you e-pay and e-file payroll taxes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Important: Before you can pay taxes and file forms from QuickBooks Payroll for mobile, you must be enrolled in E-Services. E-Services is offered through your payroll account on the web and allows you to pay your federal and state taxes electronically. There's no extra charge for this service.
How do I sign up for Electronic Services (E-Services) so I can pay and file my taxes from the QuickBooks Payroll mobile app?Before you can pay taxes and file forms from the QuickBooks Payroll mobile app, you must be enrolled in E-Services. If you're not already enrolled, use these steps to start the enrollment process:
- Sign in to your online payroll account on the web.
- Go to Setup and click Update Electronic Services.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
The enrollment process can take two or three weeks, depending on your state. When your enrollment is complete, you can pay your taxes and file your forms from the QuickBooks Payroll mobile app. In the meantime, you can still go to your payroll account on the web and print and mail your tax payments.
Can I make contractor payments through the mobile app?To make contractor payments through the QuickBooks Payroll mobile app, you’ll need an Intuit Online Payroll or Intuit Full Service Payroll account. QuickBooks Online Payroll and QuickBooks Full Service Payroll do not support contractor payments through the app at this time.
Can I export data from the QuickBooks Payroll mobile app to my accounting software?No. QuickBooks Online Payroll and QuickBooks Full Service Payroll customers, your accounting is built in, so you don’t need to export your data. Intuit Online Payroll and Intuit Full Service Payroll customers, sign in to your accounts from the web to export your data.
I just paid my employees or contractors. How do I make paychecks and pay stubs available? After you create and submit checks in the QuickBooks Payroll mobile app, you can either write checks by hand or you can sign in to your online payroll account on the web to print checks or stubs. Employees and contractors can access their pay stubs online for free.
