1099-NEC Alignment

I'm having alignment issues when printing 1099-NEC forms in QBO. I understand the alignment process as I've used it many times, but there is still something wrong. I print a test page to check the alignment and the sample comes out just the way it should. The problem arises when I go to print the actual forms they are not aligned the same as the sample was causing the fields to be misaligned. I have tried using multiple browsers, (Safari, Chrome, and Firefox and have also tried printing in a private browser window and still have the same issue. I have never had this issue before, and all other forms (1096, checks, paychecks don't have this issue.

1099-NEC Alignment

Thanks for posting here, ryley1967.

I understand that you need to align the 1099-NEC when you print it. I suggest using the Pre-Printed 1099-NEC Kits from Intuit Market. This is designed to work seamlessly with QuickBooks and Intuit products.

Also, you'll want to update, repair, or re-install Adobe Reader/Acrobat. Old versions can cause printing issues, too.

In addition, you can perform some troubleshooting steps to see if this is due to a browser error. Let's start by using an incognito window and print it from there.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift

Second, clear the cache since it can cause issues in QuickBooks Online. Lastly, make sure that the browser is supported and up-to-date.
