Join nowI work for a small production company and will be preparing 1099s in January 2020. I did a trial run today and the issue I am having is this: we use budget codes for different projects. There are a number of vendors who have worked on these different projects throughout the year and I am not able to choose more than one account from the dropdown menu. I am only able to choose one at a time. Does this mean I will have to send these particular vendors more than one 1099? I hope not. Thanks for your time. Natalie

you use 1099 mapping, and for the block are reporting for, use the drop down selector and choose multiple accounts, then check mark all that apply.
That said, it is unusual to use accounts for projects

Thanks so much for your help!
I don't see mark all that apply. I have a MAC so the version is a bit different.
I set up each production through our Chart of Accounts as the budget codes are imperative for our cost reports. I also use a production accounting software which has the budget coding already set up.
First week of January I will be setting up 1099s hopefully without any issues.
Hi there, @nsquitieri.
When preparing 1099, regardless of what QuickBooks version you're using, you'll have to include the mapping of all expenses accounts associated with your contractor. This is to automatically fill out 1099.
Here's an article you can check to learn more about setting up 1099: Set up and print 1099s (Mac).
