A credit card account.

I bought QB to create a home budget. I have downloaded all of my expenses for 2019, and created and added the correct category for each transaction. All transactions have been accepted and are now in my expense register. I have also reconciled the account, one month at a time. My question, when I go to Banking, where I can view all 5 of my accounts, the current balance in my credit card account in QB does not match the balance displayed in the bank? Why is this happening if the account has been reconciled and what do I need to do to correct the difference.

A credit card account.

Hi there, @larryleonard.

First of all, I want to provide a warm welcome to you for joining the Community. I'm super glad to have you here and would love to help.

There are a few reasons that your QuickBooks balances may not match with your actual bank balance. I'm going to help you figure this out and get you back to business in no time.

Balances may not match for several reasons:

  • Outstanding transactions
  • New transactions for a connected account
  • Duplicate transactions
  • Edited or deleted transactions
  • Credit card (liability) account
