Buy nowI have been using QB 2020 on my old laptop with a disk drive. I have a new laptop and when I downloaded QB 2020 on my new laptop (from quickbooks.intuit.com/download2020) it wants me to disable some "S" drive. When you click "more info" it basically tells you not to disable the "S" drive. I cannot move past that screen to open up QB. I have Windows 11 on my new laptop and my old one ran Windows 10.
How can I get QB 2020 downloaded on my new laptop without purchasing a new version? I just purchased QB 2020 two years ago.
Thanks!
Hi there, Audiogirl.
Let's make sure first that your computer meets the system requirements your software needs. Once you're done verifying, you can then begin downloading and installing your QuickBooks 2020.
To install and use QBDT on your second computer. Here's how:
1. Go to your new PC and install QuickBooks.
2. Once done, go back to the old one and create a backup copy of your company file.
3. Copy the backup file to your new one using a flash drive or other external device or through a network, if they're connected.
4. Then, restore the backup on the new PC.

QBD doesn't support yet Win 11 natively. Consider installing your QBD 2020 in compatibility mode Win 8/10.
