My client has been using QBO for a few years for invoicing and so I have cleaned that file up and have brought the 2018 year end data from QB Desktop into QBO so both he and I can share one file. There were three outstanding invoices at year end that have since been paid. When I run the A/R report as of Dec 31, 2018 it shows nothing. Yet I can trace the three. Why are they not showing? This seems a simple request.
I appreciate you sharing this concern here in the Community, @LesK1000.
I've got you covered in getting this invoice concern sorted out, so you can get back to business.
Invoices that will show up on the A/R report will depend on its payment date. If the payment date of the invoices were made on 2018 and you pulled up the report as of Dec. 31, 2018, the invoices will no longer appear. However, if the payments were made in 2019, the invoices will still show as outstanding for 2018.
To single this issue out, you can open these invoices and verify its payment date. If it's incorrect you may apply some changes.
