Adding fee on reoccuring transactions

Is there way to have a line item automatically pull the subtotal as the qty with QB online?  I want to have reoccuring transactions automatically pull the subtotal as the qty - this line is based on a percentage of the subtotal every time.  I can only seem to do the qty manually, as it auto populates to '1' with the percentage as the rate.

Adding fee on reoccuring transactions

Hi there, LRARML.

QuickBooks Online does not have an option to automatically add a line item for a subtotal of the quantity that you put in. For now, you'll need to manually input the information in the first transaction. Although, everything will just automatically be added since it will become a recurring transaction.

Let me share these articles about recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online for more details:

That means I will have to update every reoccuring transaction if there is a line item price change because the total will change but the fee amount will not update per the subtotal.  Is this a feature that is being worked on to be added?  This feels like something that should be able to be done.  Considering you can set up an excel spreadsheet to go off a subtotal.

You're right, LRARML.

You'll have to manually update if there are changes that need to be done on your recurring transactions. This is to make sure you're sending the right ones to your customers.

Additionally, it's great to have a feature to be able to add subtotal per line item. It will be much easier for you to track these additional fees.
