Admin Unrecoverable Error after Update. Tech Support Known Issue.

After an update on October 26, 2020, we have been unable to log into our Admin user in Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise 19.0. We have a case with Tech Support that has been escalated over two weeks. They have guided us through QB Tool Hub File Issues, Network Issues, Installation Issues, File Doctor, creating a new Windows Server Admin profile, Admin password reset and Advanceed Tools.

We have continued to use the file for these three weeks in non-Admin user accounts which means that when they do repair the file, it will be missing thousands of sales, banking and payroll transactions.

Tech Support has told me that this is a known problem and did send one "repaired" version, but it had the same error.

Admin Unrecoverable Error after Update. Tech Support Known Issue.

Hey there, actg.

I've checked and verified that we have reported issues with other users being unable to log in using the Admin credentials. We've already submitted a ticket about this issue and our engineers are all hands on deck working together for an immediate fix to sort everything out.

I know you've already called in. Nonetheless, I still suggest getting in touch with our QuickBooks Support to have your case number re-investigated. Here's how to get a call or chat from us:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk and then choose a way to connect.

You can go through this article: Unrecoverable Error: General Troubleshooting Steps. This will provide you common causes of the error you're getting as well as the steps to resolve them.

Let me know how the call goes or if you need additional assistance in QuickBooks, feel free to drop me a line below. I'll be around to help.
