Any nonprofits taking advantage of TechSoup, can you advise as to whether having an existing Intuit QB account will complicate my move to buying through TechSoup?

Will we remain subscribed under our pre existing account or will a brand new account, under TechSoup's control, be created?

They won't bother helping you migrate your data to a new QBO account. You'll need to purchase a third-party service to migrate your data. Alternatively, convert your data to QB Desktop and use the trial version to access your historical data for good. Then, start fresh in a new QBO account provided by TechSoup.

Hello there, jfveee.

When transitioning to a TeckSoup subscription, it's important to note that there's no direct migration feature between a QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. However, you can transfer your existing data by exporting lists from your current subscription and then importing them into the new TechSoup subscription. This process ensures that your financial data is maintained and secure throughout the transition.

In addition, your current QuickBooks account will remain active unless you choose to cancel it. Since the TechSoup subscription is separate, you will have two different QBO subscriptions until you decide to cancel the old one. If you no longer need the old account, canceling it will help you avoid duplicate charges.

To ensure a smooth setup, I recommend consulting with TechSoup's customer support for step-by-step assistance.
