Any way to edit required fields for customer info in POS
In QB POS, by default the only required item that you have to put in to save a new customer is a last name. Is there any way to change that and require a first name and more importantly a phone number? I want to start using the work order function but I just know at some point a tech will be in a rush and put in a customers name only without a phone number and then we will have no way to contact that customer when their repair is done.
Thanks for the question. The system only requires the last name to create a customer; there is not a way to edit that, unfortunately. My best suggestion would be to make it policy for your employees that first and last name and phone number are entered in those fields when setting up a customer.
