Join nowI posted a question to the group and someone responded for me to call [removed] for immediate help. When I called this number, the person I spoke with listened to my question then wanted to get in my computer and in QB where he said he found numerous errors and before he could help me the errors would need correcting. That would cost me $600 for a one time fix or up to $3500 for 3 years of unlimited help. For over 2 hours, he tried to convince me my QB program would NOT work until I pay for this. WHAT was this???? Of course, I did not pay and I feel like it was a complete SCAM. That particular thread is no longer visible as are the other answers. Now I think I need to uninstall my program and reinstall it. Thoughts?
It is a scam

Which version of QB are you using? Online or Desktop?
I'm using the Desktop Premier 2018 version, for the general contractor industry.
Hey @linda26 - thanks for bringing this to our attention. So frustrating! Could you PM me the link to your initial encounter with this scammer so I can pass it along to our security team?
I have the original email that I could forward to someone. In my post I included the phone number but it was blocked. The name on the email that referred me to the number is davidmarcus26, If you have an email I could forward it to I will.
Thanks, @linda26 - I'll PM you with an email address.
