Automatic updates

My software has been updating Quickbooks 2019 Premier  for 2 hours is this normal? Or is it stuck in some kind of update loop?

It looks like you're stuck in a loop, Janice65. I'll help you update the software.

 

First, let's end the update. Here's how:

  1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
  2. Click Task Manager.
  3. Select all QuickBooks processes, then click End task.

 

Then, we'll have to configure the firewall security settings. Windows firewall blocks QuickBooks from successfully updating.

 

Lastly, manually update the software to the latest release

It is not normal if you have a reliable connection. Try to reopen QuickBooks and go to menu Help > Update QuickBooks Desktop > Update Now. See what the latest status is on each module. You may try to update from there.
