Back dating invoices, purchase orders and bills.

I'm trying to change the date of an invoice, purchase order and bills. It always defaults to today's date. I went to preferences under "Transactions", and the selection "Use current date as default for new transactions" is not on.

Hello SophieB,

When you turn off the Use current date as default for new transactions option, QuickBooks is designed to follow the date of the last created transaction.

For example, you created a new transaction with the current date. When you edit existing transactions, it will already default to the current date. Hence, you'll need to change the date manually.
