Back-up QBO

I am having zero success setting up auto back-up.  The on-line instructions seem to be lacking.  Following those instructios I reach a screen telling ne to "upgrade to advanced" which I do.  And therein lies the problem,  After "upgrading" I end up back at that same page which will not let me procede until I have upgraded.  Clicking almost anywhere on that page results in a fatal error. HELP, please

There are cases we can experience unexpected behavior and issues from time to time. Data problems might be the reason that you’re getting an error while trying to set up an auto back-up.

 

I suggest logging in to your QuickBooks account using a private browser. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache. You can use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

 

If it works, then the main browser may have too much historical data from previously visited websites that cause this kind of behavior. That said, you'll need to go back to the regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. They can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers as an alternative.

Sorry  I have not responded sooner ... absolute craziness here and I am just getting back to the problem.  Then, for whatever reason, I could not sign in here???  Anyway here I am and getting back to it.

I have succeeded in creating a manual bu.  I think an auto bu as well ... we shall see.
