I am a bookkeeper who has increased recently to several clients. My bookkeeping side job has turned into a full time business venture. My clients do not have their own Quickbooks. I manage their financials with my own copy of Quickbooks. What is the best desktop version of Quickbooks to buy for my business to use for managing my clients bookkeeping? I am currently using an older version of Quickbooks Enterprise and it sounds like once you convert to Enterprise, you can't convert back to Premier or anything below Enterprise. I am certainly not willing to pay to have my clients files converted to a version that is not Enterprise. What desktop version do I buy? I'm considering buying Desktop Enterprise Accountant. But is there any other version that I can buy that is more affordable, or if I do buy Enterprise Accountant, will that work for my business as the sole holder of the Quickbooks files? (unless my clients buy their own Enterprise copy which I highly doubt they want to do). I just need to know what to buy.
