Black and White Screen since update

Since the most recent update I have been having issues with the screen I am in turning black and white. When i close and click other screens they too turn black and white. I have to completely shut down and restart to get rid. This is happening several times per day. Does anyone know a fix for this?

I appreciate you performing some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue. It’s my priority to help get the normal screen display back.


When QuickBooks displays black fields instead of the usual white screen, here are some things to try:

  • Reboot the computer where QuickBooks is installed.
  • Make sure QBW32.exe is not running in the background when restarting QuickBooks. 
  • Run the Reboot.bat to re-register the program.
  • Update your video card drivers to the latest release.
  • Change the Windows theme to Basic.
  • Edit the QBW.ini file.
