Budget reports

I am Treasurer at a UU Church. I do a monthly Budget vs actual report for monthly Board meetings. Now I  want to send that report out to the congregation as a whole, but in a simplified form. Is there any way to collapse the various sections so it just shows the aggregate amount and not the line detail. Example payroll, it would be a privacy violation to show every persons compensation, so would like to "collapse" that section so that it just shows the total amount paid to all employees, etc. I have tried various ways of aggregating the various sections, but always run into the problem that each cell showing totals contains a formula. When I try to eliminate the formulas, it eliminates the totals. Any help would be appreciated.

Budget reports

Hi there, @UU Treasurer

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. It's my priority to help you sort this out. We can customize your Budget vs. Actual report to the specific section you want to show up in the report. Please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Reports, and type Profit and Loss Detail Report in the search bar.
  2. Customize the Report period
  3. Click Customize
  4. Go to Filter section. Put a check mark on the desired section to show up on this report.
  5. You can also modify the Rows/Columns by check mark the desire section.
  6. Press Run Report

That will point you on the right track to see the specific section like total amount paid on the report.
