Enterprise user for five years plus. And 3rd-party is STILL the only option for calculating total units and total weights within a Sales Order and/or Invoice transaction? Or did I not click a box somewhere...
Thanks for reaching out to the Community, AA @AcmeAdict.
The ability to calculate total units and weights withing sales orders and invoices is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Enterprise.
I can how having this option would be helpful for you and your business. Rest assured that I'll pass along your suggestion to our Product Developers. They're always looking for ideas to consider on how to improve QuickBooks.
In the meantime, I recommend visiting our blog site. This is where we share recent happenings and future developments, such as updates to newly added features. Here's the link: https://www.firmofthefuture.com/product-industry-news/product-updates/.
Please leave a comment in this thread if you have any other concerns. I'll be more than willing to help. Have an amazing rest of the day!
I've tried FormCalc and CCRQ and didn't continue with either as they were, let's say, clumsy. It just seems to me like any version of Quickbooks NOT having a simple native calculator for weights and units is like Microsoft Word not having a spell check.
Don't get me wrong, I think Enterprise is exceptional accounting software and Intuit, in general, is a stellar company. I just don't get why I have to 3rd-party for a feature that's available in $20 bookkeeping rags I can pick up at Office Max.
This is what we really need QB to add to its features. It will help us a lot, and to be honest this is the only downsize of QB that we are facing after using QB for over 6 years now.
PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE!!!
Thanks for joining the Community, MaxEslami.
I can certainly understand how an ability to calculate total unit and weight could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.
You can also submit your own feature requests while using QuickBooks.
Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by checking out Intuit's Product Updates webpage.
I'll be here to help if there's any questions. Have a lovely day!
And here we are in March of 2021 still looking for this feature. Our suggestions that are very important to them are just as important as staying on hold because your call is very important!!
