While there isn't an option to directly edit the transactions from the Categorized tab, Filippo, I have an alternative solution to help make necessary modifications to your categorized transactions.

You can navigate to your Bank register to locate the transaction classified within the relevant bank account. From there, select the specific transaction and add the additional information in the Memo field directly or click the Edit button. For visual reference, I'll add a screenshot.

To help illustrate the changes, I'll include an image showing the transaction before and after the modifications.

Moreover, enhance your financial management with QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted. Take advantage of personalized video consultations with certified professionals, offering tailored bookkeeping, strategic financial guidance, and efficient bank transaction management.

Finally, I've gathered some resources for you to learn more about automatically categorizing transactions and reviewing your accounts in QuickBooks:

Thanks and apologies for the delay in responding - my browser was getting austhentication errors and prevented me from replying. I actually thought of that as an alternative. I was hoping that there was a way to enable entry into the check number field (which I just discovered I could add a few days ago). So from now on, I will be able to record the check # in the check field.

In the meantime it only took me a couple of hours to undo and redo (with the check numbers) the transactions.
