Thanks for getting in touch with the Community, admin423.

If you need to delete a bank account from your Transactions screen, you can do so while signed in. This will make the account no longer visible on the page. It will continue to be active in your Accounting tab.

Here's how:

  1. From the Bank transactions tab, click to a Bank Account you want to delete.
  2. Use your Pencil icon on the top-right of your account.
  3. Hit Edit Account Info.
  4. Scroll to the bottom.
  5. Tick Disconnect this Account on Save.
  6. Select Save and Close.

If you want to delete an account from your Chart of Accounts, I'd recommend working with an accounting professional before taking this action. If you're in need of one, there's an awesome tool on our website called Find a ProAdvisor. All ProAdvisors listed there are QuickBooks-certified and able to provided helpful insights for driving your business's success.

You can consider reviewing our article on making an account inactive for a more permanent solution.

I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a great Wednesday!
