Can I journal in transactions to fix previous years postings? As there are hundreds to fix!

Hi there, info1249.

Currently, the option to create a journal entry is unavailable since  QuickBooks Self-Employed is designed specifically for freelancers and independent contractors. For now, you'll want to consider manually adding or uploading your transactions into QuickBooks via CSV file.

Once you're all set and ready, please follow these simple steps to import the transactions:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then choose Imports.
  2. Select Import older transactions for the account you want to add transactions to.
  3. Click Browse and find the file.
  4. Select the file, then click Open to start the import.
  5. Review the column headers and data, then make sure that the date, description, and amount columns on the CSV match the columns and order in QuickBooks.
  6. Click Continue to complete the process.

Now that they're in, it's time to review and categorize the transactions to put them into your accounts.

If I can be of any additional assistance, please don't hesitate to insert a comment below.
