Can I reclassify which bank account was used to pay multiply pay cheques?

You'll have to delete the payroll checks and recreate them afterward, Ashley. I'll outline the steps to help you with the process.

Currently, you're unable to directly reclassify the bank account used in your multiple paychecks. If you're using paper checks to process payroll, you can delete them and update the payroll bank account from the Payroll settings. Then, proceed to recreate the paychecks.

Let's start by deleting the paycheck so we can update your employee payment method. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu, then Employees (Take me there).
  2. Click Paycheck list.
  3. Choose the paycheck(s) you want to delete or void, then select Delete.
  4. Tap Yes.

Once done, follow the steps to update the bank account for your payroll:

  1. Go to Settings, and then select Payroll Settings (Take me there).
  2. Click Edit from the Bank Accounts and hit Update.
  3. Select Add new bank account.
  4. Search your bank name and enter your online banking user ID and password. Or, select Enter bank info manually. Enter your routing and account number, then choose Save
  5. Tap Accept and Submit.

For more details about this process, see this article: Change your payroll bank account. Once done, you can recreate your employees' paychecks using their updated bank details.

If you're using direct deposit to process the paychecks, I recommend reaching out to our payroll support team to assist you with the process. They use specific tools to pull up your account in a safe environment and help you void/delete the check. Please keep in mind that you should update the payroll bank account, as these changes will only take effect on the subsequent payroll runs.

I'm also adding this article for future reference that will help you identify what specific report you will use to keep track of your books about payroll: Run payroll reports.

I can provide you with accurate and helpful information about changing bank account for payroll. Should you need further clarification, simply leave a comment below. I'll get back to you at any time.
