Hi, I'm afraid the same problem is persisting. 

It is insisting on a UK county on the billing address and the buisness address.

First off, I wanted to make sure we're on the same page so I tried recreating a trial account using a sample address from the Jersey Channel Islands. It turns out that the QuickBooks Online account for customers using this location is indeed a United Kingdom (UK) version.

Since we have a channel addressing all concerns from our customers generally from the UK, I recommend starting the same conversation with them using this direct link: Welcome to the UK QuickBooks Community.

From here, let one of our specialists know how you're unable to start an account using the complete address from the Jersey Channel Islands so they can provide the troubleshooting steps needed to get your account started.

Hi, I have tried as you suggested to follow the 'choose your country' link you posted. Did that, tried to set up an account from there, and when I got to billing, they would not accept my address: only counties in UK listed despite clicking Jersey earlier on. It will not let me move forwards until something is in the county box. Can't seem to go any further! Can you help?

Upon checking here, the reason why your address won't be accepted is that it's not a supported region in QuickBooks. That is why you'll be directed to the UK. Please know that the UK product is restricted to UK billing addresses which can cause issues for customers when attempting to subscribe or resubscribe.

Let me explain why you're re-directed to the UK QuickBooks product when signing up for QuickBooks even though you're in Jersey, @Jsyman.

Currently, QuickBooks products are unavailable for Crown Dependencies like Jersey, Guernsey, and the Channel Islands. However, we're looking forward to supporting these areas in the future.

In addition, customers with the said addresses will be re-directed to the UK QuickBooks product. However, it's important to note that this version is limited to billing addresses, which can cause problems for customers when they attempt to sign up or re-subscribe.

You can use the trial version of QB Desktop 2021 UK version as a workaround.
