Can I speak with somebody live?

Hi there, @ryan7763.


Thank you for adding a post here on the Community page. I'm happy to guide you on how to connect with live support and share with you the steps on how to switch to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).


To get started, you need to download and install QBDT if you haven't downloaded one. Then, proceed with converting your QuickBooks Online (QBO) data to QBDT. You can check out this article for the detailed instructions: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.


Things may look different after you export your data to the desktop version of QuickBooks. You can read the topics from here to learn more about what data does and doesn't export from QuickBooks Online.


Once completed, you're now ready to cancel your account.


  1. Open a web browser on your computer, then sign in to QBO as an admin user.
  2. Select Account and Settings from the Gear icon.
  3. Go to the Billing & Subscription tab.
  4. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription.
  5.  Follow the onscreen steps to complete the process.

After that, your data will be available in read-only access for one year from the date of cancelation. To know more about what happens to your QBO after the cancelation process, open this link.


Lastly, if you want to connect with live support, follow these steps:


  1. Open your QBO account, then go to the (?) Help icon.
  2. Choose the Talk to a human option (then type it again when prompted).
  3. When asked by the bot, type "type in a short description of your concern".
  4. Select I still need a human.
  5. Proceed with Contact us.
  6. Click Let’s talk, then choose either Get a callback.
