Can I sync the same bank account in 2 different QBO accounts?

Greetings, @kathyguild.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I’m here to share some information about connecting a bank account to QuickBooks.

Yes, most Financial Institution allows multiple connections. American Express Business Card uses Connect to QuickBooks and only supports Online Banking to one company file.

Syncing a bank account to multiple QBO account might cause some connectivity issues. Make sure to check with your FI before performing the process.

Take a look at this article for more information: Connect your American Express Business Card to QuickBooks.

Here’s how to connect your account:

  1. Go to Banking and choose the Banking tab.
  2. Click Connect or select Add Account if you already created an account.
  3. Type in your bank’s name.
  4. Choose Continue and enter your bank’s login credentials.
  5. Select the type of account.
  6. Indicate from what date you want to download transactions.
  7. Hit Connect

For screenshots and video tutorial, refer to this article: Connect and add bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

That should get you connected in no time.

Let me know if you need further assistance, I’m more than happy to help. Have a great day!
