Hello there, dirtcheapapplian.

 

Yes, you can talk to a real person by requesting a callback during the support hours. You can also start a chat session with them. Once they are available, they'll contact you based on the information you've provided. 

  1. Click Help in the upper-right corner and select Contact Us.
  2. Enter the details of your concern and click Let's talk.
  3. Select how you want to reach them.
  4. Enter the necessary information to complete your request.

Or 

  1. Click Help in the upper-right corner and type Talk to a human.
  2. Type I still need a human and another options will appear.
  3. Type those phrases repeatedly until you get this response:
    OK. Here’s a shortcut to connect with my humans.
  4. Click the Contact us link and select how you want to reach them.
  5. Enter the necessary details to complete your request.

Meanwhile, the Community is open 24/7 to help you with your concerns. You just need to provide more details about it so other QuickBooks users, accountants/bookkeepers, engineers/developers, or the Community supports will be able to know what is happening. They can share their ideas on how to get through with it.

So there is no way to submit a support request after hours?  Is it really that hard for you guys to have a tech support e-mail address???  Can someone enlighten me why this is so hard for Intuit?

How do I speak to a person when my Quickbooks Online account is not allowing me to access it.  I added Quickbooks online to my existing Quickbooks payroll account and none of the options for Quickbooks online are available.   I spent 3 hours on a live chat session with Anjeanette on 4/13/21 who accessed my computer via Glance, took screenshots, stated that a "back end" support respresentative was going to be working on my issue.  Only to receive an email from her with case reference #[removed] telling me I needed to screen record myself logging in and out of my account and showing my company information and upload the file to insuit secure force file exchange.   I did as was requested and no one returns emails, and no one has reached out to update me on the status of the issue.  When you call the 800 number it tells you to login to the Quickbooks online account and select help...welll....I cannot login to the Quickbooks online, it only takes me to payroll and those help.chat people state they cannot assist with Quickbooks online.   Please assist me in connecting with a live person on the phone.

Hello, Medclaim. 

 

I'll take this opportunity to turn the tables around and help you access your QuickBooks Online account. Before we take this to our phone support, I'd like to give a solution that can help you log in.

 

A cache-related issue can prevent you from activating the QuickBooks Online module (within your standalone Online Payroll account). 

 

In this case, log in to an incognito or private window. Make sure to use the same credentials for your upgraded Online Payroll account. You can use these shortcut keys: 

 

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser (new versions): Command + Option + P

 

When you're able to log in and activate the QuickBooks Online module, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. This can prevent you from using the data that's causing the issue. 

 

You can also use another supported browser as an alternative. 

 

However if you still can't log in or if it doesn't activate the module successfully, I have a workaround to help you connect with our support again.

 

You can use the QuickBooks Online test drive to contact our support: https://qbo.intuit.com/redir/testdrive.

 

To contact them: 

 

  1. Click the Help menu.
  2. On the QB Assistant tab, enter something like "Talk to a human."
  3. When asked, simply type "Follow up with the emails."
  4. Click I still need a human.
  5. Proceed with Get help from a human.
  6. Choose Get a call back. One of our support agents will call you. 

 

When you get an agent, you'll want to give them the case number so they can continue with the steps. 

 

After successfully adding your QuickBooks Online account, you can start working on the accounting-related tasks. If you need help, feel free to browse our articles in the articles list page

Thank you for providing an alternative link to chat with a person.  Just a note....all those steps you provided have already been done.   I spent 3 hours on chat with a person who had me do all those things, not just once but on 4 different computers.  They even had me install "glance" so they could login and see it themselves.  Only to send me an email telling me that I had to take a "screen record" of me doing all those steps again and upload the video.  So, I had to download a recording program in order to do that and have not been able to get in contact with anyone again and no one has acknowledged having received the file or updated the status of the case.   Super frustrating!!!

CAN I TALK TO A REAL PERSON

I had to have work done on my computer this week, which required the installation of a new hard drive.  I am now unable to access my QB.  I have an error 3371; status code 11118.  Could not load the license date - missing or damaged files.  

 

I need assistance, as I need to have my payroll done now.  Thank you!!

Let me make it up to you by making sure you'll be able to get rid of the error code so you can get back to business.

 

When you activate or open QuickBooks Desktop, you might see one of these error messages:

 

  • Could not initialize license properties. Error 3371: QuickBooks could not load the license data. This may be caused by missing or damaged files.
  • Could not initialize license properties. [Error 3371, Status Code -11118] QuickBooks could not load the license data. This may be caused by missing or damaged files.
  • Could not initialize license properties. [Error: 3371, Status Code -1] QuickBooks could not load the license data. This may be caused by missing or damaged files.

To resolve this error, let's Run the 3371 Error Fix from the QuickBooks Tool Hub.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.5.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop). Note: If you've installed Tool Hub before, you can find out which version you have. Select the Home tab. The version will be on the bottom.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

Then, run the 3371 Error Fix.

 

Here are the steps:

 

  1. In the QuickBooks Tool Hub, select Installation Issues.
  2. Select 3371 Error Fix.
  3. Select OK.
  4. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.

If it doesn't work, please proceed to Solution 2: Clean install QuickBooks Desktop in this article: Fix Error 3371: Could not initialize license properties.
