Can no longer email invoices with QB2019 Desktop

I can no longer email my invoices and access the HELP option because I keep getting "The operating system is not presently configured to run this application" error message and Code 19658 24162. When I click on this, it shuts the whole program down.

 

I have reloaded QB2019, I have reloaded by Office 2013 with Outlook. If I go to Preferences, there is no option to email. This option was working fine until my Outlook started crashing yesterday so I reloaded the program. Now something is wrong with QB. I need help FAST please!!!

Thank you, but my problem extended to the fact that when I went to Preferences/Send forms, the same error message would come up as when I tried to email an invoice. Then it would shut the whole program down. I did finally, 10 hours later, fix the problem. I reloaded Quickbooks but it wasn't until I reloaded Office 2013 / Outlook that it finally worked. I had done this several times before so I have no idea what made it work this time, but I am happy. Thank you for your suggestion.

Welcome to our forums. I can share some infromation on how to get past your issue emailing your invoices in QuickBooks.

 

If you're experiencing an unusual behavior when working with QuickBooks, please make sure your computer hardware and operating system meet the minimum system requirement. You can check out this article to check if your

Microsoft Office version or Operating System is supported for your QuickBooks program: System requirements for QuickBooks 2019.

 

If you already meet the specifications, update your QuickBooks Desktop software to its latest release. QuickBooks periodically provides maintenance release and product (software) updates to fix emailing concerns, add features and enhancements, and update compliance information.

 

Once done, set up your email service again. Follow the steps below: 

  1. Go to the Edit menu then choose Preferences.
  2. On the left pane, choose Send Forms.
  3. Under My Preferences, select the email account you are using then click Edit or Add.
  4. In the Edit Email Info screen, enter your email information. Please refer to Set up your email service in QuickBooks Desktop for a list of SMTP Server and Ports.

Once completed, try sending the invoice again to check if it works this time. If you keep getting the same hurdle, I highly suggest you contact our QuickBooks Technical Support Team. They have tools such as screen-sharing that can view your computer and further investigate what causes the hitch. Here's how to contact us:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Tap the Contact us button.
