Can not get mobile app to take check deposits. Keeps saying whoops looks like something needs to be fixed

Hello there, Pp1020. Before we proceed, have you received an email about the check not going through or being returned? If you haven’t checked your email yet, please take a moment to do so.

Next, ensure the check is written out to you and is from a U.S. bank or territory, as this is necessary for mobile deposits. Remember, mobile check deposits have limits. I recommend checking your account on your mobile device to see if you’ve hit your deposit limit.

If you are still within the limit but continue to get errors when depositing checks, let’s troubleshoot your QuickBooks Online app. Sometimes, stored cache can disrupt the app’s performance. To fix this, start by clearing the app data to remove the old cache. Here’s how you can do that:

For iOS devices:

  1. Go to your Settings, then choose the General option.
  2. Locate the iPhone Storage option and tap on it.
  3. Then select the Offload App.

For Android devices:

  1. Go to your Settings, then pick Apps.
  2. Pick the QBO app, then choose Storage.
  3. Then select Clear Data.

Please note that certain types of checks are not accepted. For details, refer to the link: List of Checks That Are Not Accepted. Mobile deposits have limits, which you can view by signing into your account on a mobile device before starting the check capture process.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
