Can't Open Old QB Company File

I have an old QB company file (from 2008) and I need to open it.  We now have QB 2019 Desktop version.  When I try to open the old file, I get a message that I need Enterprise to open it.  Are there any work-arounds for this?  I need read-only access only to review historical info.

Can't Open Old QB Company File

It is possible your 2008 file was created on QBD Enterprise. You may have 2 options:

1. Upgrade the file and you can open it on the trial license of QBD 2021 Enterprise.

2. Downgrade the file and you can open it on your QBD 2021 Premier.

Can't Open Old QB Company File

QB Pro/Premier won't open an Enterprise file, even an older one.

However, we can convert your data to a Non-Enterprise file and also upgrade it for you when you use our BRC Enterprise to Pro/Premier Conversion Service .
