Let's do some troubleshooting steps so you can successfully set a check date for your payroll in April, Eva.
Since you successfully processed a payroll for your employee in North Carolina during the same period, let's investigate whether this might be a browser issue. Sometimes, browsers can experience data problems that cause QuickBooks to behave unexpectedly. To check if this is the case, try updating the browser you are currently using. If that doesn't resolve the issue, log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser. You can open a private browser window by pressing the following shortcut key on your keyboard:
- Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: Shift + Ctrl + P
- Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
If this works, you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I suggest switching to a different one.
If the steps above didn't resolve the issue, I suggest contacting our Payroll Live support team. They are equipped with tools that can help you check your account internally, identify the root cause of the issue using specialized tools, and initiate an investigation if necessary.
Here's how:
- Log into your QBO account.
- At the upper right screen of your QBO account, click the Help icon.
- Go to Search, then enter Contact Support.
- Click on the Contact Us tab.
- Choose whether you want to have a Chat with an expert or get a Callback.
