Cancelling and resubscribing to different plan

I'm here to help you downgrade your subscription to QuickBooks Online Simple Start. 

You may need to cancel the Essentials plan and subscribe to a new Simple Plan with a new company. This is because you'll encounter an issue if you go back to re-subscribe to your old company file. Before that, I'd recommend turning off the additional services in your current plan. Then, create a backup file to avoid any data loss.

Here’s how you can export your data or create a backup file:

1. Go to the Settings or Gear icon.
2. Choose Export Data.
3. In the export window, you’ll see a list of reports you can customize and download.
4. Click Export Data.

You’ll get a zip file in your Downloads folder that contains your downloaded data on an excel file type.

Once you enabled the multi currency feature, you are unable to downgrade plan to QBO Simple Start. You have to open a new blank QBO account.

then resubscribe your old QBO account to migrate the data, if required.
