Cannot save client details on the client dashboard

Let’s perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this, @Ravi Kalsi.

The cache stores temporary internet files from your browsing history. This helps your browser to quickly load pages. However, stored for a while can cause unusual behavior that affects the performance of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

I’d recommend accessing your QBO account on a private or incognito window and save your client's details from there. Doing so, we can see if this is a browser-related issue. You can follow these shortcuts keys in opening a private window depending on the browser you’re using.

  • For Google Chrome browser, press: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser, press: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser, press: Command + Option + P

If you’re able to save your clients' details while using a private or incognito window, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache

If the issue persists, try using a other supported browsers to check if this is a browser-related issue.

You can also check this article for additional details in adding and managing your customer lists: Manage your customer list.

Once you’re all set, you can now send an invoice to your client.

Let me know if you have other concerns adding your clients in your QBO account, @Ravi Kalsi. I’ll be around to help you out anytime. Have a great day ahead!

Cannot save client details on the client dashboard

Thank you for the update about your concern in saving your client details in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @Ravi Kalsi. This way. I can guide you on what's the next step you need to take care of this.

Let's begin by utilizing other supported browsers (i.e. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox) in saving your client details. This way, you'll be able to isolate the issue and identify if this is due to your browser's cache.

In case the Save button is still grayed out, after using the mentioned browsers, I'd recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Support team. They can further investigate the cause of the issue and guide you with a fix.

We've updated our customer support options in QBO. To talk directly with one of our representatives, you'll have to request a callback. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Select the Contact Us button.
  3. Enter a brief description of your concern in the What can we help you with? field.
  4. Click Let's talk.
  5. Select Get a call or Get a callback.
  6. Enter your contact information.
  7. Select Confirm my call.

I've attached a screenshot below for your reference.

After saving your client details and creating their transactions, you can pull up the Transaction List by Customer report. This is to monitor your sales and make sure they're accurate. Just go to the Sales and customers section in the Report menu's Standard tab.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help. Take care always.
