Let me welcome you first to the Intuit Community, tinytunes.

 

Connection issues may occur when the program is unable to communicate to the server. This could be because the QBDS is not running on the server, or a firewall is installed on the network.

 

To re-establish the connection, download and run the QuickBooks File Doctor. This is a tool that helps fix certain types of file and data corruption, Windows setup problems, and network setup issues.

 

  1. Click here to get the download link and then tap the Save file menu.
  2. Choose Open File (QBFD.exe) and follow the on-screen instructions to install the tool.

Next, run the File Doctor to scan the file. Here's how:

 

  1. In the No Company Open window, select your company file from the drop-down menu.
  2. If you’re encountering the Error 6000 series, choose Check your file and network and then Continue.
  3. If you receive any of these errors H202, H101, H303, or H505, pick Check network connectivity only and Continue.
  4. Input your QuickBooks admin password and then tap the Next button.
  5. If your computer is connected to the network, pick Workstation and then choose No.
  6. However, if the device is hosting the company file, select Server and tap Yes to confirm.
