Change home page workflow in MAC Desktop 2012

Our Quickbooks was set up by a former accountant.  Our Profit and Loss Statement does not show our accurate total sales.  I think the problem is that Enter Bills is shown on the workflow two times (highlighted in red on the attached screen shot).  The Enter Bills is in the Cost of Goods, and the Enter Bills is also be subtracted from the Customer's Invoice.  Please let me know how to correct the workflow on the home page so the Profit and Loss shows the accurate number for sales. Thank you.

Let me help share some information about the homepage workflow in QuickBooks Mac Desktop.

 

The Enter Bills and Enter Bills Against Inventory icons showing on the Home page workflow are designed for two different types of expenses. These are billable and non-billable expenses. The Billable expense is reimbursable from your customer by way of billing and can later be applied to an invoice while the non-billable expense is a cost related to your work.

 

You'll need to check how you recorded your transactions if your profit and loss report is not showing the correct number of sales. It's also possible that this was posted to the wrong account.

 

As always, you can contact our phone support if you need help in going through with your transactions in QuickBooks. They can access your account in a secure environment and help you further verify if there are any discrepancies on your profit and loss.

  1. Go to: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. Choose your QuickBooks Product.
  3. Select your QuickBooks Version.
  4. On the Contact Us page, click a topic.
