The option to use more than 12 characters for a size attribute in QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS) is currently unavailable.
I can see having this option can benefit you in running your business seamlessly. Rest assured, our Developer team is always looking for ways in enhancing QuickBooks and to ensure to meet the needs of our users.
In the meantime, you'll want to check our Firm of the Future page from time to time. From there, click the Product Updates tab and select POS to view the latest news and improvements about POS.

thanks for the reply @JasroV . If that is the case then can you direct me to information on how i can use more than 12 characters? I am on the newest version of POS multistore v19. The links you provided do not help solve this unfortunately.
