Client File Transfer

I opened my QB Accountant Online account.  Am I able to transfer the files of clients that are currently utilizing QB Online to my wholesale accounts?

Great news! It's possible to transfer your clients' files to your wholesale subscription. I'm here to guide you through the steps. 

 

Before adding them, you can review some of the following requirements: 

 

  • Your clients should have active monthly billing subscriptions.  
  • They are listed within your Client list
  • They must be in the same QBO region as your account. 
  • They must be enrolled in the Essentials and Plus versions. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the upper right. 
  2. Select Your Account under Your Company
  3. Choose Move clients to wholesale from Your Accountant page. 
  4. Place a check-mark (✔) next to each client you wish to move. 
  5. Click Next.
  6. Review to ensure selected clients are correct and choose Move Clients.
  7. You'll see a screen that lists all clients who were correctly migrated and any clients whose migration failed.

Thank you RaymondJayO!  Do you have a screen shot for #3 in the list of steps?  This is what I can't see on my account, "Move Clients to Wholesale".  Thanks!

You will see the button when you enter your billing information. If you've already entered yours, but still not seeing it, please request for a callback, and one of our phone agents will contact you to check this further. They can have a screen-sharing session to see your setup.

  1. Click on Help and choose Contact Us.
  2. Enter a short detail of the situation. Example: missing move clients to wholesale button
  3. Click Let's talk and then Get a callback.
