closing accounts and access for audits

I will be closing my business this month but want to have access to my QB info for audits. If i close my acct/stop subscription will I still have access to the information within QB or do i have to keep QB until all is settled?

You should convert your data to QB Desktop and you can use the trial version to access your historical data for good.

It's nice to see you here in the Community, @stergco.

I'd be glad to provide insights about accessing QuickBooks Online (QBO) information after the cancelation of your QBO subscriptions.

To begin with, your data will remain accessible in read-only access for a year after you cancel your subscription. After 12 months, you can re-subscribe using the same login details, but your data will no longer be accessible. I recommend exporting your data before canceling your subscription for backup purposes.

To export data and list:

  1. Go to the Gear icon or Settings icon.
  2. Under the Tools section, select Export data.
  3. On the Reports tab set the date range.
  4. Add or remove items from the Reports and Lists tabs by turning the switch on or off.
  5. Select Export to Excel.

For more detailed information, you can check this article: What happens to my QBO data after I cancel?

If you'd like to resubscribe, you should be prompted to as soon as you sign in to your account, but if not, follow the steps provided in this article: Resubscribe to or reactivate QuickBooks Online.

We hope to hear from you in your future business ventures, @stergco.
