Closing books for one client but not all clients in QBO Accountant

Does anyone know if QBO Accountant will allow me to close the books of one company, but not all of them?  I've tried closing the books for one of my companies, but when I do that, it closes the books for all of them.

You have me to help you close the books of a specific client, sschuller.

Let's make sure to select your client's company file when closing the books. You can do that by clicking the GO TO QUICKBOOKS drop-down and then select their company.

Afterward, you're good to close their books. I'll show you how:

  1. From the Gear icon, select Account and settings.
  2. Go to the Advanced tab.
  3. Click the pencil (edit) icon in the Accounting section.
  4. Select Close the books.
  5. Enter the Closing date.
  6. Click Save, and then Done.

I've also added these articles for more information when closing the books:

There you have it, sschuller. Feel free to reach us back again if you still need help. keep safe!
