Company Snapshot - Prev Year Income Comparison PROBLEM

I am beyond frustrated as I rely on my company snapshot to let us know how our sales are at a glance.

However, I entered the first sale of the month on May 2 and it is not showing up on the Snapshot.  If I run a report for the month I see the invoice and the sale but it is not part of the comparison bar graph.

I went back and it does appear in all the 2021 "bars" in the chart, but for some reason it is not in the 2022 chart.

Nothing has changed, the account is active and it does appear in reports for taxes etc but I am not understanding why it won't come up in the company snapshot.

Any suggestions, help!

I'd to share details and help you make sure that the invoice part of the snapshot, shopcocolavie.

 

Most of the times, discrepancies when running reports are caused by incorrect period or damaged data. Based on what you've shared, it looks the date is correct since the invoice showed up when changing the report to a monthly basis. 

 

In this case, let's try deleting and recreating the invoice. This would help us check if the transaction is damaged. Here's how:

 

  1. Open the invoice for the month of May.
  2. Click the Delete button and select Delete.
  3. Select Yes to confirm that you want to delete the transaction.

 

 

Once done, recreate the invoice. Then, go back to your Company Snapshot and check if you can already see it in the comparison graph.

 

Jut in case you can't still see it, you can use the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This tool can hep us resolve some of the most common program and data issues that might have caused the invoice to not show up in the graph. Ok...tried using the tool hub - nothing

Tried creating a new invoice for them, it doesn't add to company snapshot.

Created a new invoice for another customer, this one does show up on snapshot.

 

Any other ideas?

 

Again, all their invoices show up on last years snapshots...something is wrong with them for this year!

We can take additional troubleshooting steps to remedy the issue and have you back to work in no time. As a result, I recommend using the Verify and Rebuild data utilities. Having said that, we can verify and correct the most typical data errors in your company file. Please make sure your QuickBooks Desktop is up to date as well.

 

Here’s how:

 

  1. Go to Window, then Close All.
  2. From the File menu, click Utilities.
  3. Select Rebuild Data.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to back up your data.
  5. When the tool finishes, select OK.
  6. Go to the File menu, then click Utilities.
  7. Click Verify Data, then select Rebuild Now once QuickBooks finds an issue with your company file.

If you're able to view your sales in the company snapshot, please let me know. I want to double-check that everything is in working order. Keep yourself safe.

No luck!

And now shipping options got deleted and do not work. I can't add it back.

This is so frustrating.

 

I get this error:

Access violation at address 06310734 in module 'ZRUSH_~1.OCX'. Read of address 66664F68

 

Then another window pops up trying to connect to database via the network but that doesnt work 

and I keep being asked to close and reopen quickbooks to opend shipping manager.

 

Phone support hasn't been able to help.

Your QuickBooks company file may have been corrupted or missing, shopcocolavie.

 

That's why you're getting the access violation error. You can run the following tools on your computer to troubleshoot the issue.

 

 

If the same issue persists, you may back up your QuickBooks company file. Then, restore it to another file location.
 

Here's how:

 

  1. In QuickBooks, go to the File menu, then select Switch to Single-user Mode.
  2. Go to the File menu again and hover over Back up Company.
  3. Select Create Local Backup.
  4. In the window, select Local Backup and then Next.
  5. From the Local Backup Only section, choose Browse and select where you want to save your backup company file.
  6. Set the number of backups you want to keep.
  7. This runs a test to make sure your backup file is in good shape before you save it.
  8. When you're ready, click OK.
  9. Select Save it now, then Next.
     

Now that you have a backup company file, you can use it and restore to another location. Then, open again the company snapshot so you can compare the business income.

Company Snapshot - Prev Year Income Comparison PROBLEM

Thank you for the help BUT nothing has worked.

Not only do I have that problem with one specific customer but now the UPS shipping integration is not allowing me to add UPS back on to use the shipping integration.  Just doesn't make sense how ONE SPECIFIC customer isn't showing up on the snapshot but they did in 2021.  Nothing has changed.

I ran every tool hub. I updated all windows; yet nothing!

Online support doesn't have a clue really.  But I am on hold AGAIN as they try to figure it out.
