Conditional Receipt Messages

Is there a way to make the message on our sales receipt different depending upon what type of item we sell?

I would like to add a message about returns if a certain item is sold, but I do not want the receipt to be super long for every sale that it does not apply to.

We use QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 18.0 Multistore Level.

Welcome back to our forum, @sky_sky,

All QuickBooks Point of Sale versions will let you assign one default Receipt Message for the entire company.

If you need different messages, you will need to edit it everytime. To learn your way around QuickBooks Point of Sale, refer to this user guide: QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 18.0 User Guide

Hi sky_sky.

Thanks for dropping by this afternoon, I'm happy to shed some light on this for you. You can create templates with different customer messages on the receipts, save them and use them as desired. To do so, follow these steps.

Go to File menu, then select Preferences then Company.
Choose Receipt Message.
Enter your changes, then select Save.

In my version of QB, it appears to only be able to save one template/message at a time.

I would ideally like to have several templates saved that change if a certain item type is sold.
