Confirming cancellation of my Quickbooks desktop subscription

In September I called to cancel my Quickbooks Desktop subscription. I actually talked to a human and she processed it for me. I got an email a couple of days ago saying my renewal was coming up. I want to confirm that the cancellation of Desktop ONLY has gone through, but I can't get in touch with a human! I went to CAMPS and it is showing as active. Would it be showing active until the cancellation date? Any help would be appreciated.

Confirming cancellation of my Quickbooks desktop subscription

Hello, TxCatLady.

I'm here to work with you and help you handle your QuickBooks Desktop subscription.

There might've been a delay in the cancellation process, which is why the system wasn't able to confirm it successfully. Depending on your subscription, it will show as cancelled in CAMPS. Although, there are instances that it will show as active until the cancellation date (when you cancel the renewal for Payroll subscription for example).

You can force the cancellation process by going to your CAMPS account. Simply log in to this website, then choose your QuickBooks Desktop subscription. There will be an option for you to cancel it.

If it's still not going through successfully, I recommend contacting our support agents again. Ensure you're doing it within their business hours. Here's an article for the open times: Support hours and types.

You can use the same phone number from your previous call. If you have a case reference number, you can give it to the next agent.

If you don't have it handy, here's how you can reach us:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click the Contact Us button.
  4. Choose a topic or type "Follow up regarding my cancellation" in the box, then click Search
  5. Choose a way to contact us.

More details can be found here: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.

If you haven't done it yet, I recommend exporting your lists and company data for backup purposes before canceling . You can check this article for more details: Import and export data in QuickBooks Desktop.
