Connecting a specific customer account to their own bank account to track and use

I don't think it can be done but I'm not that familiar with this aspect of what I was requested to do.  We have a customer that we are processing their bank reconciliation under our company.  Can I connect a bank account to that specific customer?  Or do I have to set up a new company in QB?  Inquiring minds would like to know. :)

Connecting a customer’s bank account and reconciling the transactions within your company can affect your books. I recommend, creating a separate file to ensure that everything is correct and avoid data issues in the future.


Here’s how to set up a new company file:

  1. Open QuickBooks and click Create a new company.
  2. Click Express Start (recommended for new users).
  3. Enter all necessary information.
  4. Select Create Company.
  5. Get all the details into QuickBooks by clicking the Start Working button.
