Convert Quicken data to QuickBooks Desktop

I use Quicken 2013 and am running a new instance of 2019 QB Pro Desktop. I need to covert a 2017 Quicken data file received from someone else for import into QB 2019. I downloaded the Quicken 2017 Converter and tried to convert the Quicken 2017. It failed at start up saying I did not have the NET framework version associated with Quicken 2017. Is there some way for me to convert 2017 Quicken data file for use in QB 2019?

Convert Quicken data to QuickBooks Desktop

It's not worth trying. These program files are not enough alike. Intuit sold Quicken years ago, as well, so that makes them Less compliant.

I have done this a few times in the past 20 years and regretted it every time. It makes a mess in QB you cannot ever clear out. It takes longer, as well, than just treating this as a Transition issue.

You start a new QB file and you set it up. That takes .5 hour to maybe 2 hours, depending on needs such as inventory, payroll, if you are Accrual basis, etc.

Then you start Using QB. Use Quicken for reporting and reference, until you see all work and full reporting is now in QB. Then, stop using Quicken.
