Join nowI need to convert a multi currency set of books into a non multi currency one. I can create a new company without the multi currency, import the general ledger customers and vendors from the old set but cannot export the transactions into the new set of books.
Any ideas?
Dennis
Hi there, @Dennis Palmquist.
Once you've turned on the Multicurrency feature, you won't be able to copy information to another company file. You can refer to this article for more details: Set up and use Multicurrency.
As a workaround, you'll want to manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Desktop using Web Connect. It helps get older transactions from your bank.
Here's how:
Once done, go to the Bank Feeds Center to review your transactions.
For transactions that aren't included in the imported file, you can manually recreate them to keep an accurate record. Just make sure to use the exact dates, so they are reported in the correct period.
Please let me know if you need further assistance. I'll be around to help. Have a good one.
You may have 2 options:
1. Utilize one of these 3rd party tools to migrate data between company files

2. Purchase a 3rd party service to disable the multi currency feature.
